For our wedding ceremony at the castle there are currently no changes, the test can be a rapid test or PCR test and it should not be older than 48 hours.

However, for the restaurant, the type of test needed changes. A rapid antigen test is no longer sufficient here, a PCR test is required unless one is vaccinated or recovered, which should not be older than 48 hours. Fully vaccinated or recovered individuals, of course, still do not need testing.

Furthermore, the wearing of a medical (or higher quality) mask is necessary in various areas.

How to get to the Locations

Register Office

The marriage ceremony will take place in the castle Drachenburg in Königswinter. Since this is located on the Drachenfels, there is no direct way to get there (https://www.schloss-drachenburg.de/index.php/en/contact/how-to-get-there).

We recommend using the Drachenfelsbahn, a rack railroad that stops right in front of the castle.

Please note that we (Christiane and I) will be arriving via parking lot 6 (Oberweingartenweg) and would like to get the bride and her dress to the castle "unseen". Therefore, it would be important that the guests for the champagne reception do not park and wait early in this parking lot, or already in front of the castle. We therefore recommend that all guests for the wedding ceremony arrive by the Drachenfelsbahn, which leaves every 15 minutes (13:00, 13:15 or 13:30). The guests of the champagne reception should take the train at 14:00 at the earliest or park in the parking lot 6 Oberweingartenweg after 13:50.

Restaurant

Our restaurant, Il Bagutta (https://www.rosticceria-massimo.de/il-bagutta/), where we'll celebrate is located in the middle of the Latin Quarter in Cologne, which also means that parking here is quite difficult. If you are staying in a hotel, the best way to get there is by public transport (KVB stop Zülpicher Platz) or on foot. The address is Heinsbergstraße 20a, 50674 Cologne. Evening Program

We would like to spend the evening eating, laughing, chatting and dancing with you. We would hate to be held back from the usual wedding games.

If someone still wants to contribute something to the evening, this can be arranged with the marriage witnesses.

Gifts

Since we have everything that a household needs, we would like to continue our desire to travel, especially after the long withdrawal by Corona. Here we look forward to your contributions to our travel happiness.

Unfortunately we had to postpone our honeymoon to Malaysia until next year. But after the wedding we will go to the South Tyrolean mountains for 2 weeks and relax a bit.
